COVID-19 Response & Safety

Drake Artistry Collective takes your health, the health of your guests, and our artists' health seriously.  We have expanded upon our already stringent sanitation and safety protocols to further protect our clients and ourselves during the COVID-19 pandemic.

General Sanitation & Safety Protocols

  • All stations, chairs, tools, equipment, and products are disinfected regularly before, after, and throughout the service.

  • Products are decanted onto a palette or working surface so as to eliminate cross-contamination.  Brushes are never introduced directly into a product.

  • Brushes are double-cleansed first with a disinfecting solvent-type cleanser to remove skin oils and makeup and then deep shampooed.  In most cases, we will use a new, unused brush set for your services and you'll keep those brushes.

  • Artists follow CDC Handwashing protocols before, after, and sometimes during each session.

  • Artists follow a strict hand-sanitizing routine any time contact is made with the client.

  • Clients are asked to arrive for hair services with clean, dry hair.

  • No food or drink should be consumed during services.

  • Drake Artistry Collective has an exposure reduction plan where we schedule artists in a way that they are not working on more than five to ten clients per week over two separate private events (weddings, family photos, etc.)

  • Contact tracing is conducted on every artist exposure so that, should a positive case be identified, we can work with the Health Department to identify any potential exposures.

On-Location Safety Protocols:

  • Artists will wear a face mask at all times while we are on-site.

  • All clients are required to complete a health questionnaire and sign a COVID/Adverse Reaction waiver before services can be rendered.  Should a client refuse to sign this waiver, we cannot render services and no refunds will be issued for services not provided.

In-Studio Protocols:

  • No guests are permitted in the studio, at this time.  Only the artist(s) working and the client being actively serviced are permitted in the studio.

  • Artists will wear a face mask at all times during your service.

  • All clients are required to complete a health questionnaire and sign a COVID/Adverse Reaction waiver before services can be rendered.  Should a client refuse to sign this waiver, we cannot render services and no refunds will be issued for services not provided
